Organic, eco, ethical, recycled

Each product is vegan and is printed on demand according to your colour and size specifications. This uses less water and there is less wastage. Carefully developed water based, non toxic and environmentally friendly inks are used. The services between the manufacturer are also fully automated and paperless. Printing on demand is much more responsible as there is no end of season rail that ends up in a landfill.

Organic

This means your garment is 100% organic cotton. Our organic cotton garments are primarily manufactured by Stella Stanley in Bangladesh. They do not use slave labour and support women and their communities through extensive training programmes. For more information about Stanley Stella please click here.

Eco

This means your garment is 85% organic cotton and is also mixed with 15% recycled polyester. This is used in our Eco pullover hoodies to create the stretch in the cuffs. These garments are also primarily manufactured by Stella Stanley.

Ethical

This means your garment is produced responsibly. The manufacturing of this garment is lawful, ethical, and safe to the workers and environment. Ethical garments are made of non organic materials such as ringspun cotton or polyester. Our ethical long sleeve t-shirt, tri-blend t-shirt, tank top and hoodie are manufactured by Bella & Canvas, please visit their website here for further information.

Our ethical yoga wear, surf wear, dresses, skirts, draw string bags, premium scatter pillows, pillow cases and bean bag covers are cut and hand-sewn by our print on demand provider's in-house team. They only print items once an order is placed, resulting in less excess inventory compared to conventional manufacturing. All cut & sew products are made using CPSIA certified inks.

Recycled

Why do we support recycled fabrics? Recycled polyester (rPET for short) is a fabric that’s produced from synthetic fibers. Recycled polyester is produced by recycling existing materials (like plastic bottles and packaging) but still has all the characteristics and performance as a regular polyester, making it a more sustainable fabric alternative.

Recycled polyester is made by crushing plastic products into small pieces. These small pieces are then processed into yarn, transformed into a fiber, and in the end—made into a fabric.

Producing rPet takes 33% to 53% less energy than creating polyester from scratch. Also, rPet produces approximately 54.6% fewer CO2 emissions to the air than virgin polyester.

By using recycled materials to make things like our Recycled High-Waisted Bikini, at least some of the plastic waste produced doesn’t end up in landfills.
